Collection of General Information

When you access our website, general information is automatically recorded. This information (server log files) includes the type of your web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider and similar. This information does not personally identify you but is necessary to correctly deliver the contents of our website and is mandatory when using the internet. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically analyzed to optimize our internet presence and the underlying technology.

Comments

If you comment on our website, the following information is saved: the time of your comment, the name and email you entered, and optional website URL if you provided it.  This is for our security, as we may be prosecuted for any illegal content on our website, even if created by users.

Post/Comment Subscription

To set up and process subscriptions, we use the subscriber’s email address, as well as the ID of the post or comment (depending on the specific subscription being processed).In the event of a new subscription being initiated, we also collect some basic server data, including all of the subscribing user’s HTTP request headers, the IP address from which the subscribing user is viewing the page, and the URI which was given in order to access the page (REQUEST_URI and DOCUMENT_URI). This server data used for the exclusive purpose of monitoring and preventing abuse and spam.

Newsletter

When you sign up to receive our newsletter, the data you provide will be used exclusively for this purpose. Subscribers may also be notified by email about circumstances relevant to the service or registration (such as changes to the newsletter offer or technical conditions).

For an effective registration we need a valid e-mail address and your name. In order to verify that an application is actually made by the owner of an e-mail address, we use the “double-opt-in” procedure. For this purpose we record the newsletter subscription request, then send a confirmation email. Only after you confirm your subscription, you are technically subscribed to our newsletter. Further data is not collected. The data will be used exclusively for newsletter distribution and will only be passed on to Mailchimp which is our newsletter service provider. By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to our privacy policy as well as to Mailchimp’s privacy policy and terms of use.

You can revoke the consent to the storage of your personal data and their use for the newsletter at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in the emails you receive from us or by sending an email to tadeja@arianasyard.com.

If you contact us by e-mail or through a contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your request and for possible follow-up questions regarding your request only.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies stored on your computer to analyse your use of our website. The information generated is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to IP anonymization, your IP address will be shortened beforehand within member states of the European Union or European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to us. The IP address provided by Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can deactivate Google Analytics by using this browser add onBrowser Add On to deactivate Google Analytics

In addition or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages by clicking this link . An opt-out cookie will be installed on your device. This will prevent the collection by Google Analytics for this website and for this browser in the future, as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.

Sharing Content Over Email

When sharing content via email (this option is only available if Akismet is active on the site), the following information is used: sharing party’s name and email address (if the user is logged in, this information will be pulled directly from their account), IP address (for spam checking), user agent (for spam checking), and email body/content. This content will be sent to Akismet (also owned by Automattic) so that a spam check can be performed. Additionally, if reCAPTCHA (by Google) is enabled by the site owner, the sharing party’s IP address will be shared with that service. You can find Google’s privacy policy here.

Social Buttons

Social buttons of the providers listed below are used on our websites. You can recognise these buttons by the logos of social platforms.

These buttons may be used to send information, which may include personal information, to the service provider and may be used by the service provider. We prevent unintentional and unwanted collection and transmission of data to the service provider with a 2-click solution. For any data to be transmitted or collected, it must first be activated by clicking on the social button. Only through this activation is the detection of information and its transmission to the service provider triggered. We do not collect personally identifiable information by means of social plugins or their use.

We have no control over what data an enabled button collects and how it is used by the provider. It must be assumed that a direct connection to the services of the provider will be established and at least the IP address and device-related information will be collected and used. It is also possible that the service providers try to save cookies on the computer used. Please refer to the privacy policy of the respective service provider to see which specific data is collected and how it is used. Note: If you are logged in to Facebook at the same time, Facebook may identify you as a visitor to a particular page.
